Rhythm of the sky

What I’m moved by is really very simple, the moods of the coastal landscape. In this painting I have tried to capture the constantly changing skies over our seas in winter. The tones are darker and more moody but there is always a sliver of light which manages to find its way to the forefront to add drama. This piece has lots of texture and movement but is surprisingly soothing.
