After the rain

This painting just painted itself. The colours shouted at me to paint them and I love the results. I had just returned home from a fantastic day at the beach with my family. The day started off sunny and bright but by the time we left the rain was pelting down. It created a really unusual light and I just felt compelled to paint the scene. This painting is a real mixture of acrylic and oil paint with tons of texture and mixed media.
